"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the main; if a Clod be washed away by the Sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a Promontory were, as well as if a Manor of thy friends or of thine own were; any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankind; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee."

Nostalgia
A child sees brazen skies, A cloud that nuzzles the sun, On an August day.
I only feel heat, And hunger for my lost youth And innocent eyes.
This is beautifully evocative of a state we all arrive at. We can't do much about losing our innocence, but I believe a youthful mindset always remains possible.

Cloud nuzzling the sun..I like the image it creates.
doing the undoing
That lost youth can be a great loss. Excellent words.
This is so nicely done. I can feel the heat myself.
Phew, I'll second what Gautami said, but I do hunger for my lost youth too, sometimes!
Nicely done!!
That is great. I can practically see the image as I read that.
how so wonderful. Loved this one!
Beautifully written. To go back to those days of innocence.
That was a tasty post - can I have some more?
love this - Gem has the waves nuzzling the sand and you have the clouds nuzzling the sun. Makes nature kind of cuddly :)
Beautifully nostalgic, and powerful imagery.
