Terrestrial Trial

My mantra has no words.
It has no sound.
It rises from within me
As it rises from the ground.

I cannot help but cry,
With all the earth.
As with creation groaning
In the pangs of giving birth.

One day I'll have my words
Not just the burn.
For now I only cry to Him
And plead for His return.

Beautifully done.

I understand very well what you are talking about. Let all creation groan.

Oh Carina - this is so beautiful. Sadly the first thing that came to mind is the oil spill in the gulf..

I loved the way you rebuked the mantra and chose to speak from your heart and soul.

I felt this as I read it. Beautiful, emotional, succinct. Well done.
